Reading 2003

Ok, I'm not gonna give you a full review of this year's festival here. If you want all the gory details of our shenanigans then check out Matt and Jay's blogs, they've summed up the debauchery pretty well.
All I want to add to the subject is that of the ten Festivals I've been to so far, this year was quite possibly the best one yet. Metallica were on top form (I've never been so knackered my entire life!), the Datsuns rocked, Blink 182 and Sum 41 were funny in an immature kind of way, and then there was The Darkness.
Talk about a life changing moment in time! I've always liked The Darkness on record, but you really do have to see them live to appreciate the full splendour of their cheesy retro Heavy Metal. I had a full technicolour flashback of my whole adolescence in 45 minutes! I really hope they keep the momentum going, 'cos they've got the showmanship to become a truly great rock band. Unfortunately I don't think people are taking them seriously enough, and they're just going to end up being a passing fad.

Greetings

Hello and welcome to my blog. I've never done anything like this before, but it seems like all my mates are doing it, and I thought it's about time i jumped on the band wagon.
So who am I? My name's Andy, I'm 30 years old, and I live for ROCK! I've been married for nearly 7 years, and I've got a very boisterous 18 month old son.
I don't get a lot of free time to myself any more, but when I do you can guarantee it involves listening to music, usually whilst reading or playing computer games. I will listen to pretty much any type of music, as long as there are loud guitars in the mix somewhere. I also pride myself on being something of a geek, and am a sucker for useless facts.
Well that pretty much sums me up, hopefully I'll have something a bit more interesting to post soon.
